BGMI Unban: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was banned in India in July 2022. Due to privacy concerns, the Indian government ordered the game removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. However, even after this, the game servers worked without issues. Since then, from time to time, we have come across various rumours and claims online regarding the return of the game. The latest claim has surfaced, which states that the mobile battle royale will return in January 2023.

The report states that the player said, “You’ll be thrilled. BGMI will launch on the Google Play Store on January 15th, a preliminary date.”

According to the gaming news website AFKGaming, a live stream by two popular streamers, Prateek “AlphaClasher” Jogia and Sohail “Hector” Sheikh, revealed the return of BGMI. Alpha Clasher was joined by another player named Predatorssusuke, who claimed to be working at Google and revealed the estimated date of BGMI’s return.

Following this webcast, Hector was asked regarding the return of BGMI in his most recent stream, in which he claimed that “the game will be back in January, according to a Googler.” He added, “I am not directly aware of this, but I have heard it.”

For some time now, game developer KRAFTON has consistently said it is in talks with the Indian government. The game will be brought back as soon as possible. However, the company has not officially given any claim or information regarding the withdrawal.
